My dad and I both agree that Angels and Demons was better than Da Vinci Code and think it would make a better movie, but both of us think the Vatican City won't allow movies to be filmed in there. Do they? Any examples?

Well, they can just put the city in the background by computer for the movie, if they decide to make it.

Not without the permission of the Pope/Church. Which is unlikely, but you never know. Locations such as the Vatican City are very, very difficult to get booked for studios to film movies at, primarily because filming (with all the equipment and set building) can be damaging to the area.

Though not as prestigious (nor as religious) as the Vatican City, to obtain the Louvre for filming "Marie Antoinette," Sofia Coppola had to get special permission and could only film for a certain length of time and during a certain time.

You are aware of the Swiss Guards and the secular staff, are you not? Do you actually think that every one of them is pure and upright? What does the fact that a very small amount of films have been downloaded (assuming that the report is true.... most reports concerning the Vatican have been false or exaggerated) what does that have to do in any way shape or form with Benedict resigning? That is a totally illogical leap.
