This is NOT a sick fettish as someone previously answering said. It can be very beautiful to listen to.
Whale song is heard in all the oceans of the world. All whales make sounds. But only a few can be classified as whale song with varying melodies and complex structures. The most famous ones are humpback whale song. Only males sing. His appearance may be 'knobby' and his face encrusted with barnacles, but his voice is something from another world.

I did a unit on ocean life with my middle school class and found a whole bunch of sites where you could listen to different whale sounds by just typing in "whale songs" or "whale sounds" into my search bar.
