You want me to choose just one?! I can't!
Let's see, where do I begin?
I wanted more Transformers than I can remember now.
Star Wars figures and vehicles were tops on my list in the late 70s.
I always wanted Rock'em, Sock'em Robots.
Heck, I even thought Lite-Brite was cool!
Here are some other things I wanted as a child:
Electric Football Games (the kind with the moving players)
Hot Wheels & Matchbox vehicles
Slot cars and tracks
Baseball cards
Star Wars cards
Comic books
Bicycle like all the other kids had (I had a banana seat bike)
Cap guns
12-inch G.I. Joe figures and accessories
A BB gun (yeah, I know, I'll shoot my eye out!)
Superhero toys
RC cars
Baseball glove and bats
I could go on but, well, I'd be here all night...
Good topic for discussion!

There was an electronic car (and also a dump truck) that you could punch in a sequence of moves for it to follow. Kind of like programming a robot. It was so cool. But I don't remember what it was called.
I asked Santa for it, but all I got was a regular remote control car. And then, it wasn't even the good kind. It had one button on the remote that would make the car go backwards and turn at the same time. Lame!

A Barbie of any kind. My mom got my sister and I Tammy dolls and they were too wide to fit into Barbie's cool clothes our friends had. This question is great because it reminds me of that scene in Santa Clause when all the adults at the Christmas party got the toys they wanted as kids. That always makes me tear up. I know I'm a nerd.

LOL, I was a little girl a long time ago and can still remember a lucite clock that was out and I wanted so badly for Christmas. You could take it apart and put it back together. Santa did not bring it ,and I looked under every couch, chair, table, etc. I was a spoiled brat and got everything I wanted..this was impossible! Isnt' it funny how you can get so much and don't remember most of it, but the one thing you didn't get..you remember that one...lol

I always wanted the original Optimus Prime and Starscream Transformers. I even dreamed about them, but I never got them. Now Optimus Prime goes for $786 on ebay. I cry a little bit every time I think about it.

This is going to date me but hear goes. I wanted the game Double Trouble or at least I think that was what it was called. Yes yes the good old days before kids asked for computers, digital cameras and video games. Do kids actually play board games anymore?

The toys on the TV like those baloon things you can blow up into all different shapes.

All I ever wanted was to go to Disneyworld or get the cheaper of the two, an Atari. I got neither. We were too poor. Oh well...now for meds
