I swear my best job was where I got paid the least - at CVS at Kenmore Square in Boston. My eyes were opened to a whole new world and I have the best stories from that place. We had the Methadone clinic across the street and we always got the people coming in who tried to replace the high with something else. For instance, we had the dread that used to buy serious amounts of rubbing alcohol - I had no idea that people actually could drink that and not die. I guess some people just like that thrill...Anyways, we had the best music, I got to talk with people from all over the world since there were alot of International visitors, and since we were by Fenway the Yankees - Red Sox games drew the most interesting crowds.

My current job as a maintenance supervisor, I started not knowing much, watch and learned and asked a bunch of stupid questions. ten years later, work 3 days 33 hours a week and am on salary, it not so much about the money, it about the quality time I can spend with my kids, because of the job I have. It just makes my day when I make something for the kids, they watch me build it from scratch and they want to be involve.

teaching sucked for me, there was no discipline, and the parents were just as bad. Today I work with a crisis support team, we do 5150's. It is good that you like your job, all I hear other teachers do is COMPLAIN, I assume they new what they were getting into.
