I bought a new laptop, I can see my wireless network but i can't connect. I think the network doesn't recognise my laptop, please please help!

if you have XP-Pro you can go to a command prompt ant type "ipconfig /all" this will give you your MAC address. (This will not work with XP Home Edition) Make sure DHCP is turned on on your wireless router and most importantly make sure your wirelss card on your laptop is enabled and turned on.

I think it is too difficult to solve a problem based on your question using just yahoo answers. You should do a internet search on "wireless networking" and there are better and more descriptive steps than what you see here (which are all good only if you have done some initial troubleshooting).

give a command ipconfig /all & the mac adrress will look like the below
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-0D-56-97-4F-F4

Go to, start, run type
"cmd"
type again,
"ipconfig /all"

go to where it says, "physical address... thats what you are looking for...

kindly check your network connection, check what type is your server, check it.. check your domain name and try to connect it there..
