Both. I pay attention until it becomes too much for me or I have so much on my plate that it is all that I can do. Then I turn a blind eye till I recover enough to look again. It is like a dance.

Although I am too poor to even pay attention, you must speak out against what you know is wrong, not turn a blind eye and hope the problem goes away.

As the one eyed man said, "I'll keep an eye out for you." If it wasn't for blind luck I would have no luck at all. No reason to raise cane, or to just dog it. Do you have a vision?

No man or woman is an island, we are all fellow travelers to the grave....so another's pain is in a way our own, and as we help another with a smile, a kind word, or gentle action, we're actually helping ourselves as well. There's a certain joy that wells up within us, when we help those around us.
