I don't associate with certain groups because my chance of being really hurt is to great. So why should I when I can associate with my own kind. If you want to know who may hurt you just watch the evening news.

I think it was in the play "South Pacific" where one of the characters said "you have to be taught to hate." When you think about it, this is so true. You could have a room full of toddlers and they would play together just fine. However, on the news this week they showed small children autographing bombs to be used in the Middle East conflict. These children are being taught to hate and they probably have no idea why. I thank God that there was no discussion of religion and politics at home and anyone who was "good people" was welcomed.

Because, some people are narrow minded, little hearted, vastly ignorant, fools who are so stuck on themselves that they have to belittle others. I don't there are as many different reason for stereotyping as there are bigot out there. Honey Child, open up your eyes, not everyone was raised by parents who had morals and values and taught them to their children. I am so blessed to have had a mother that taught me to be polite and respectful to other regardless of the color of their skin, or the religion they practiced, or the gender they were.

I think we can, but for now the only way seems to be to do what you're doing. Give other people respect and consideration and you are also giving them and example. And maybe most importantly, you are also respecting yourself by respecting others. It's probably not going to change the world, but at least you're keeping alive the possibility. It's a funny thing that people who don't respect others don't respect themselves, and you respect others because you respect yourself.

Prejudice is fear. Pure and simple. Let`s say you`re afraid of the dark. You fear it automatically, because you don`t know what is out there. This is called fear of the unknown. We FEAR other races because we ether hade a terrible experience with blacks for instance ore we simply fear them ore we are just drawn in by the idea of being in a group doing something you like ore taught to like.

if you respect other people they will respect you. I do not understand why some people think they are better then others God created us all equal and that is how I feel no one is better then me and I am not better then anyone else.

Because of that one thing everyone has, EMOTIONS.
That is what keeps us at each others throats and in constant war after war, that and Religion.
