Did you really advise an eighteen year old to get married. Wow!!! Wow!!! To answer your questions. Call the department of children and family services. Just don't tell them you advised an eighteen year old girl to get married, they might take custody of "your" daughter. Peace.

Well alot depends on the one that wants to get custody. Does the husband have a proper home? finacnial ability? Can it be prooven their is no food in the house? or that ther is no electric? these questions and many more must be asked and will be by the court that would give custody to someone else. Also any violant police record on the part of the husband? Your question while important dont give enough information to realy tell you a good answer. is their enough money to pay for lawyer? Might be best to take some grocries over to the house and go pay the electric bill for them at least enough to get it turned back on. Too many times people want to make a rushed judgment in these issues. Think it through, for the kids. If they love these people alot it will hurt the kids. Look at the whole picture. The truth of the matter is the kids may end up ward of the court and be placed in foster care. and all the advise about containg childrens services realy gauls me. their track record for helping the kids is not a very good one. in most states they can barely keep track of the kids. i think husband needs to go over and help out for the kids sake and maybe with someone as a mediator to work this out, again childwelfare agencies can do more harm than good.

Make a call to the Department of Human Services. You may have to wait until you take them back but call and they will tell you how to go about it. If the state takes them away they try to place them first with the other parent and if not that with a family member so don't worry about foster care. Good luck good for you for caring for these children there a lot of people out there not as accepting of step-grandchildren.

call The family individuals help facilities locate out which district atty is dealing which includes your case have them do an emergency income evaluation of you to prepare you should address the responsibility there by organising your self as a in good structure figure. From there you want to call CPS they're going to favor to provide custody to a figure beforehand they provide it to a stranger. To be seen you would possibly want to be seen as a in charge in good structure figure. So set up that then you fairly can set up something else.

Contact a lawyer. A hearing could probably be scheduled in the next 2 days. Your daughter and her husband will have to prove that the kids would be in danger at their mom's house, so be prepared. It wouldn't hurt to alert social services to the conditions there as well (especially if she has other kids).

Good luck.

go to a lawyer, he can file emergency briefs that are looked at in court on the same day or the very next day

they can award temporary emergency custody while they look into the matter, but it better not be a frivolous thing because then the judges get all pissy and mad

go to your local court house and file a "temporary emergency custody order" you will have a court date within 48 hours. you may have to hire a private investigator to show proof and "just cause" and to deliver a summons the day you file all and all you may have to speend about 100- 500- dollars on this but is worth the effort for the child's welfare

Maybe he should try paying his child support, so she can get her electricity back on and get some groceries in the house.
Or better yet.........maybe he should go pay the electric bill and give the ex some money for groceries.
Are you joking!!!! This is pathetic.

if there is no formal custody- he can refuse to take them back. he has right to as the dad- then it would be up to her to obtain a lawyer and fight for custody. She may call the police- but when I had to call, they told me to get a lawyer and get custody on paper and then call them back.

If she has custody on paper- contact a lawyer for emergancy care.

also, call child protective services ASAP so you can have records of the fact for custody.

You can go to your local court or have the cops and social services go out with you when you go to drop off the girls to show what is going on and hopefully they will do something right away!
