how do I clean handbag interior lining?

I have a louis vuitton speedy 25 handbag that has little water spot inside, and smoke smell, what is the best way to clean it without damage it and get rid of the odd?

You can remove the odor with Febreeze. Clean it by turning the lining inside out, place the lining over a folded towel. Use a sponge that has been saturated with Woolite and then wring it out and wipe down the lining. The towel will absorb the excess water if there is any. Hand wipe the bag. Repeat until the lining is clean. If you can not turn the lining inside out, do the same process with a very wrung out sponge. Fold a towel and place it in the bag, for 30 minutes to absorb any moisture. Leave it open and allow it to dry.

You could also try one of those dry clean sprays to see what happens.

I had this question about smell. People told me to put dryier sheet. It worked. Someone said baking soda, but I did not want to mess up the coach purse, so I have a flow thru box. They are more expensive but not messy. I do not know about a water spot. Wait for further info. I put a whole bunch of scented dryer sheets mine was some old musty smell from something I purchased on ebay.

Find out what material the lining is made from, then do a search - "how to clean _______ ?" Different materials react differently to water, cleaners, etc.
