The Hounds of The Baskervilles is a thriller similar to Edgar Allen Poe stories written with Sherlock Holmes as the main character. Its great to read the old classics because they stimulate the imagination.

Yes - I grew up reading Sherlock Holmes stories (written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) - they are all excellent, especially "The Hound of the Baskervilles."

It's "The Hound of the Baskervilles" and it is a classic horror story. Several movies have been made of it. Compared to some modern horror stories, it's a bit tame - but I enjoyed it very much when I first read it fifty years ago...

It is a Sherlock Holmes novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is actually The Hound of the Baskervilles. I love Doyle and the Holmes novels but many find them dated. I find them fascinating.

Ummm. I thought there was only one Hound of Baskerville. Yes, it's a classic horror story. Don't read it on a dark and stormy night, when there's no one in the house but you, and the big elm tree in the front yard is creaking in the wind....

Did you get hurt patting yourself on the back for that one? I mean it's not exactly rocket science, is it Jethro? LOL Yeah I would have done the same thing myself, except I would have glanced through the instructions just to see if there was anything special in there that might have a smidgen of interest for me, otherwise I would just pop open a beer and let the wife do it because that is a man's job. That could, of course, explain why I am divorced now.

Yeah it sure is ,but not as much as I've heard.Ireally love Sherlock Holmes and I always wanted to read this book. I really expected something extraordinary, but it was not. Icould guess who was behind it all after the first 6 Chapters.I guess that's coz I have read too many of his books.Anyway, it's anice enough book, but do not pin too much hope on it.
