I'm looking for ways to get rid of my foreign currency once I return home; I would prefer something amusing such as watching others try to pry them off of the sidewalks...only, rubles aren't really worth the time to pry off of the sidewalk...

How about sticking chewed gum on one side and sticking them to a table in a restaurant. Then you could sit at a nearby table and watch people gross out about the gum when they pick up the coin.

Well think of it this way. If someone had decided to take the time to pry a glued coin from the street or whatever, then you wouldn't even know to ask this question. The point of those things are for entertaining purposes. Some people will try to pry them up, some just look. It's just for fun. I would say to leave it and move on. I mean, do you want to be someone who takes that kinda time and effort to remove a quarter glued to the street?

Some people probably won't know that they're not worth much. And some people (me) collect foreign coins. You could save us both some trouble and send the coins to me. That would be fantabulous.

You've been to a Russian-Canadian massage pallour too I see. They glue coins to the floor to see how cheep the customers are. If you bend down to pick it up, you ain't getting the "special"

Actually, this is a great pickpocket trick. You put it on a busy sidewalk and when someone bends down to try and pick it up, you bump into them and take their wallet.

i don't stay there and pry but its really funny to actaully watch people walk up to it and try to pick it up, my friend found a quarter in our hall way and she got all excited and yelled oo look at that quarter and bent down to pick it up, it was amusing to me when she figured out it was glued
