First of all the question should be is 14 to young for children. At 14 you can't have a job (legally), you don't know what respect or responsibility is so how is that child going to learn it? Your curfew is like 9 o'clock at night your kid probably stays up later than you can stay out. Why would a 14 year old want to ruin thier life like that, I have 13 years on you and don't even have a kid yet, because I'm to busy living life at this moment. I'd say poor thing, but I only feel sorry for your kids. Don't mean to be so rude and opinionated, I just think part of the problem with society these days is kids having kids, I just wish you all made better life decisions.

I got married at 16, had a baby by 17. I am now 26 with 3 kids and still married to the same man and we are still madly in love. That is 10 years of marriage with a 9 year old, a 4 year old, and a 3 year old. My husband who was 19 at the time managed to get a GED, go to college, and go through the military and now has a good job. We are very happy. It just depends on the person. I grew up fast, so when I was 16 I was more like 21. I would never suggest having kids if your not married though.

Ya know, I waited till I was 25 to start trying for our daughter, took us 2 yrs. Now I'm 32 & am trying for another. I feel really old & like time is running out. Sometimes I wish I'd had children at a younger age. I'm thinking that sometimes you'd wished you'd waited a few more years. But ya know what? There is a reason why all things happen to us the way they do. Maybe you having children at a young age helped you get out of a bad situation you were going to be in. Or maybe you were just in a really good situation, so your content. No matter what, don't let anyone tell you if your right or wrong. It's how you feel in your heart. You have the greatest little loves of all & I bet that your very happy to have them. Good luck on your delivery in october !!!!

That really depends on how mature you are and how comfortable you feel being a mom of 2 in a younger age than many. I'd say it's pretty cool and ok. When I was 16 there were two classmates who had children. It worked just fine.
Actually there is an advantage - if you want to make a career later then this is easier because your kids will be grown up when that takes off. For many women who have children late and want a career this is a big effort.
Congratulations for your courage!

Yes, 16 year olds are too young. Chances are they don't have a high-enough paying job to be able to support another person. Plus school takes away from work time. Plus at 16 they won't be married yet, so they'd have committed a sin.

look don't worry about everyone elses opinion sixteen is young but that doesn't mean you don't love your babies you can still be a good mother and do good for your kids yes it will be harder but anything is possible i am 26 with three kids i have been with my husband since i was 16 and we are still together although you don't need a man to live life just keep your head high and never worry about what anyone thinks they do belong to you they are yours never be ashamed of that but don't give up on life climb to the top not just for you but for them and for everyone else that says it cant be done prove to them you can do it good luck on your delivery in October!!!!!!

YES! I'm 17 (18 in September) and 7 months pregnant and I wish that I wouldn't of gotten pregnant. It's so hard on you, your family, & your 'baby daddy'. The human mind isn't fully developed to make a complicated decision until you are 25 years old, so what does that tell you?

Depends on how the person looks at it. Everyone can answer you question with their opinions even doctors or adults can answer with their such knowledge, but if your responisible enough to take care of them at such an age then your fine. The person is growing up fast, but if she takes her time having sex, then responisibilities are going to happen. Anyway whoever this person is... Im sure she'll do fine down the long run, if she is strong enough and capable for her actions.

ummm...YES!! I'm 26 with a five year old and one getting ready to be 1....I had to fight to take care of one and work full-time and go to nursing school..while going through a divorce **18 's also too young to get married**. I never got a chance to go through the typical young adulthood-adulthood "rites" of passage...but for you--whats done is done...you can't change what already is..I just hope you have some amazing support at home!

It's a little late to be asking if 16 is too young, considering it's already done. You have a hard road ahead of you, but you can definitely make it if you're smart. You need to get your education to provide for your children. Believe in yourself to make it happen!
