Depends on the hotel. Some you only have to be 18, some it's 21.

You have to be at least Paris Hilton, old. Renting an entire hotel costs a lot of money these days. With parking structures and dining halls--usually hotels are in high demand.

I work in the hotel industry at the front desk so I will be the one checking you in. If you look underage or your friends do I will ask for ID from all of you and photocopy it and I will probably ask you to sign a wavier regardless of age if you look like you're gonna trash one of my rooms. Basically the waiver means I can charge all damages to the credit card or keep the deposit to pay for extra clean up or if complaints have been made from other guests and you're asked to leave, you don't get the deposit back. And most hotels will check signatures on the back of the credit card so don't try using Mommy's.

18, but if you are younger, your parents can rent the room for you, as long as they are willing to accept the liability.
