He's a fellow country-mate of Wild star Marian Gaborik, and the local media says they are good friends. I just wonder if Demitra was worth a first round draft pick. I'm a huge Wild fan, and would love to see them make the playoffs again. (They last made the playoffs in 2003, and made it to the Western Conference Finals.)

Well Lemaire said he will try to have more open style game since in the new NHL, you cannot really get away from playing 60 mins of defensive playing since all the power plays and how important 5 on 5 hockey is so adding guys like Demitra,Mark Parrish will help in 2 ways 1) give Gaborik help in production(he cannot do it alone) 2) it allow Gaborik to be more offensives since in new NHL scoring games are higher and the more goals you score the better chance you have of winning pretty basic stuff here.
My only problem with Demitra is he's always injured and misses a few games every year.

Demitra had a great year last year despite some injuries. He's definitely worth a first round pick. I can certainly understand why that would concern you, but I think you'll be happy with the result once the season starts. I'm not a Wild fan, however, I think they're gonna have a really strong team this year.

Definatly, they already got Marian Gaborik, Brian Rolston, Mark Parrish and they are all great scorers. Adding Pavol Demitra to the mix, YOUCH!

Demitra is great. I'm from St. Louis, he was always a fan favorite. Nice guy off the ice too. Great with the puck, fast, and great goal scorer. I'm sure it was a good move for the team.

Demitra is a good player and a goal scorer BUT, he is on Jacques Lemaire's team now which is a defensive style of play.

Expect about 50-60 pts this year.

It's more of a good thing Gaborik. Expect Gaborik's season to take off.

Whoever signs and warning signs him is going to overpay because of the fact he's previous, fragile, and small. nonetheless, i could like the Blues to sign him for three hundred and sixty 5 days-a million. it may be too lots yet advantageous to work out him interior the word returned.

It should be interesting but I think that he will help maybe a little not a huge impact but a small one.
