2 Peter 3:8-But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

To the scientist this scripture out of the Bible give you a the answer to how long it took for God(Jesus Christ) to make the universe. If you do a thousand years for every one of God's day's,becuase God wouldnt of had a reason to go by a 24 hour day, cause the earth was not yet made.
Given that scients like to say stuff took millions and billions of year,no dobt this fact about the bible definetly wont sit well with them.Since we know God made everything in 7 of his days; we need to apply the math he gave us in 2 Peter 3:8;what you come out with is the universe was made in 7000 of our years(1/1000=7/x, the x=7000).7000 as in it only took 7000 years too make the universe. Not a million, not billions, not trillions;only 7 thousnd year.
Which means age of the univers, dnosuar, geological features, animals, all need to be rethought.Scientisttalk!!

Maurice, you aren't considering that god understands recursion.

So there are a thousand years for every day. That means (approximately) 365,000 days for every day.

So, each one of those 365,000 days could be 1000 years, right? That gives us over 133 billion days, or 365 million years.

The point is... Leave math to the scientists.

Uh, don't think so Maurice. Better go back and read Genesis again.
It says the trees. grass, and fruit trees were created on the 3rd day....but the Sun and moon were created on the 4th day.

If your theory were correct, the grass and trees, etc, would have been here a thousand years before the sun..... not possible.
Nope; it means what it says...God created the entire creation in six literal days! He spoke it into existence!
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. For He spake and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast". - Psalms

"For in six days the Lord created the heavens, the earth, the sea, and ALL that is in them..." Exodus 20:11

The world isnt made up of allinsecure religious people, so im sorry but not all people know that everything was made in 7 days. Science has one thing that religion does, actual proof of existence. Religion has a book...that no one knows about where it came from...so ,if you think you have made an actual scientific question here, put some science into it

I agree the universe can't be over ten thousand years old! My theory is that scientist is looking at time in circles! Like a mirror effect!

The Bible is nothing more than story and myth as told by the people who became the ancient Jews. There is little veracity in it, especially scientific, and to rely on it as your point of knowledge as to the nature of reality is the sign that you have been seriously brainwashed. It would be the same as if you were to believe that "Morte D'arthur" was the true legend of King Arthur. It's not. And that's the same with the Bible. It bears no relevence except as a religious text and shouldn't be taken for the literal truth.

Just for a start, it was written by people who hid little to no real understanding of the world around them, except for their primitive, practical knowledge. Even something as mundane as childbirth was miraculous to them....ask them how it happened. They'd be completely clueless except for the obvious mechanical reasons as to how it happened.

Your argument is hogwash. The bible contains hundreds of errors, as well as dozens of internal contradictions, so it is totally useless as a source of scientific information. The age of the earth is computed from the decay of radioactive elements. and is at this time certain to within a few percent.
