it will cause you "air embolism" and can occur whenever a blood vessel is open and a pressure difference exists favoring entry of the air. different from what is thought it will not cause your heart to suddenly stop. however, when air enters the veins, it travels to the right side of the heart, and then to the lungs.this can cause the vessels of the lung to constrict, raising the pressure in the right side of the heart.when death occurs, it is usually the result of a large bubble of gas stopping blood from flowing from the right ventricle to the lungs.

I've always heard that when the air reached your heart it would cause it to stop beating, but I don't know that to be fact. I wouldn't try it to find out though.

you would disrupt the flow of blood that carries o2 already at the molecular level....Why? the same type of bood suspension occurs when you free fall off a 22 story building without a parachute!!!!!

YOU COULD DIE, ESPECIALLY IF IT WENT TO YOUR HEART, WHY DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU GET AN INJECTION, THEY TAP IT, TO MAKE SURE THE AIR IS OUT.
