I love rap to death and here's my honest opinion on it. NO ONE REALLY CARES ABOUT THE WORDS AS LONG AS THE BEAT IS SICK. Honestly. As long as the beat and the music in the background is something you can bob your head to, then the rest is secondary. Especially if it is played in the clubs, no one's going to stop dancing and say, "Oh, he's lyrically talented." If the beat's good they'll dance all night. As far as the writing part goes, only write what you know about. Don't rap about how much you love sex and be a virgin, violence and have never seen it/used it, etc. You get my point. If it's something you want to take seriously start a myspace and get people to hear you and add your song to their profiles. Best of luck!

Guns, violence and sex is whats selling, so I would go down that path. Just don't constantly rap about being from the ghetto and how tuff you are. Try to be different with guns, violence and sex in your raps,be unique with it.

If you must rap about guns, violence, and sex, make it good enough to listen through the whole song and not turn it off after the first five seconds, but please do not rap about your dog or aliens cause that would be just weird!!!

Rappers are fitting singers seeing that all you must sing is car track and singers are rapping however very badly. Although you probably did continually get rappers that would kinda sing too like Chamillionare, Birdman at the music "Neck Of The Woods" ect.

if yur gonna sing about guns volience and sex, it better have a reallll good beat so people'll listen. if not, (i prefer) if rappers rap about thier life, and what they know about most. just life. (eminem, tupac?) lol guns violence and sex have fame for like a month or two and everyone forgets them after that. rapping bout life might get you somewhere.
