Yes you can get child support, if you can't get it on your own and/or can't afford an attorney to fight for it call CSE (child support enforcement) If you do a search on cse on the net, it will probably bring up, I know there used to be a commercial for a company that would help you get child support including back child support. If not your local welfare office will help, with or without state aid.
Depending on your state, your daughter is probably old enough to have a say in whether or not she wants to see him. The judge will probably talk to her in his chambers alone to see what she really wants, so nobody says you are forcing the not wanting to see him.
I'd also possibly try legal aid...they'll help you too if you qualify. You can always ask for him to help or pay for your legal fees for having to fight for it.
Good Luck

Yes, the system is not foolproof, but if her father holds down a steady job, you can require him to pay child support. If you are on speaking terms, try asking him directly first. Don't get upset, but give him the opportunity to do the right thing. If he flips out, don't threaten him, just contact your state's child support enforcement agency. You may have to retain an attorney, but the Court would probably make the father pay for the attorney fees if you wind up having to file paperwork to get it done. Use your best judgement on your daughter seeing her father. Yes, she has the right to see him, but if he is an unfit parent, the Court would not allow visitation. If he is not a drug addict, alcoholic or abusive, he will get reasonable visitation. Hope this helps.

I have been through it and yes there is hope. You first of all dont need to make her see him at all, if you are letting her does she want to go? If not and he is not paying child support you can decide not to let her go. If he pushes court in your face all the court can do is hold you in contempt. But if he dosent have the money to pay you, then he dosent have money to pay a lawyer. IF he has money to pay a lawyer make him get one and force him to pay or go to jail. This is a real option. My x husband refused to pay me and I pushed it with the state so much they sent him a nice little letter that said if you refuse to catch up we will refuse to give you your freedom and you will go to jail. If he pays it here and there they may not push the issue, but you need too. I dont like what I did to my X and since then he was killed in a car accident, but I had a child to support and he was my main concern not a lazy no good for nothing man who dosent care if all the expense is on your shoulders. Just talk to the state child support agency and if you cant get them to do anything take it to the top. If your daughter wants to see her dad you cant refuse her to go or she will end up hateing you. By the way I know I sound like a hard core witch, but I was left with nothing and had to make it with a minimum wage job while he was bringing in $4000. or more a month driving a truck. He had the money to help he just didnt want to.

Yes, get a good lawyer. And, no, as long as you can prove he is some sort of a threat.

You may want to consult your lawyer. If you cant get it from him, then maybe you can apply for state aid.

Generally speaking, yes he owes you back support.........If he hasn't seen her in all this time I seriously doubt a judge in his or her right mind will grant visitation, especially when they talk to her (and they will).........Take care, honey...........
