You didn't say what program you were using when you are typing. It makes quite a difference.

In the tool bar you will see a B=Bold, I=Italics and U (with underline)= underline. Highlight what you want to underline and click on the U. Hope this helps.

It can depend on the program that you're using. With Microsoft Word, for example, you can simply hilight the text that you want to underline and select the underlined "U" at the top of the screen.

You can do control + U or you can go to the font part and choose to underline it in the tools of some programs.

if you use yahoo messenger, when chatting with another person for example, if you are going to put a title of a book, you go to the button where it says "u".
