When I turn off the computer a message comes up and tells me to end bluetooth manager (end now). Then it tells me Net.com modem (end now). So how can I avoid these two messages coz i dnt want to keep pressing end now every time the laptop shutsdown. Thank you for the help.

If it says those messages, it means that windows is loading those programs on eachtime it boots. this not only clogs the RAM but also slows the system and gives messages of the above sort with it. To have them removed follow the following. I assume you have windows xp. Dell doesn't sell any other OS. goto

start/run and type msconfig.

In the msconfig window, you'd notice startup programs. go to that and search for the net.com application and the bluetooth manager and uncheck the boxes next to them. next time you boot up, they wont be loaded directly. to access them you'd have to go to mycomputer/c:\ and so on.
That will prevent you from getting those messages again. By the way, you can browse, www.support.dell.com . and yeah, you can call dell tech support but this is too simple an issue. just follow my instructions and you'll get thru just fine.

With a three-week old computer, you must be eligible for free support. Have you tried the Dell chat? They have helped me several times. Before going to Dell support, be sure to have your serial number, express code, customer number, etc. anything you can think of to get immediate help.

try chatting online with a dell customer support person. I had the same problem. But the difference was that my computer is an HP and i had another serious problem and i had to do a destrucctive restore and that solved my problem. anyways if they don't fix it online, they'll send someone to take a look at it and then if that doesn't help, SEND IT BACK!

Those messages should pop down themselves. I get some of the same messages on my own computer, it's not a dell, but you shouldn't have to press end now. When you shut down, don't hit end now, let them go on their own, see what happens.

I get the .net broadband one, it pops down itself.
