I think we have to send the Israeli ambasador home and soon. I do not want to go to war with anyone but since Israel has killed Cdn soldiers in a well known UN base I think strong economic sanctions need to take place - banning any and all trade with Israel would satisfy me.

United Nations Secretary General Kofi
The UN is under the impresion the act was dileberate so am I .....perhaps war trials are the answer. Perhaps out of sense of irony and to drive home the point they should be conducted at Nurenburg

Annan demanded an Israeli investigation into the "apparently deliberate targeting" of a U.N. post in southern Lebanon where an Israeli air strike killed the four U.N. military observers on Tuesday.

Below is an example of a stupid answer I am not anti semetic and the comment is made only to distract people from diliberate murder of UN soldiers If you think that I or anyone is suggesting the acts of the Israeli PM and company are a generalisation of all Jews it is you that needs to give his head a shake buddy . Racisim isn't a card to play here.

The answer that is not an answer at all.

Kiss off have you ever heard of a friendly fire incident. Should we apply sanctions to the U.S.a. after they bombed Canadian soldiers 2 times in Afghanistan, and killed 2 or 3 soldiers.
Kofi Anan is either a naive bigmouth fool or an anti-semite.
And I suspect you are too.
Know the song "Blame Canada". Your question is the same merde

I don't know if sanctions are enough. I think the entire Israeli government and especially any military leaders need to be brought before the Hague (I think thats the place) and tried for war crimes. There is no excuse for attacking a UN post that they knew about. Not to mention attacking a IRC truck that was clearly marked.

It'll never happen, when the bombs go off and there are casualties you think suddenly oh my god, blame them all, its the same thinking as the terrorist extremists, no wonder they've grown strong, when smart intellectual people like your self are caught in the same hog wash beliefs, blame a whole group for the mistake of the few......Oh and by the way open your eyes , you are at war.....every day you take public transportation there is always that chance, your are not fighting a country but an ideology, Its world war and if you feel your not in the world then , yes you are not at war......

It may all be the the work of the Hezbollah, damage from an artillery shell from the Israelis is also the same as an artillery shell from the Hezbollah. This would work in favour of the Hezbollah by laying blame on the Israelis and stopping the bombardment, while laying Israel open to attack.

What is Canada gonna sanction from Israel? Maple syrup? Labatt's beer? Hockey Sticks?

Canada doesn't have much to offer Israel that they can't get elsewhere.
