The 300ZX Twin Turbo was Nissan's answer to the Toyota Supra, the Mazda RX7 and the Corvette.
Is a 92 Camaro better than your specific 300ZX (as is), performance wise; no.
But, with a few upgrades and if you put a turbo in there it won't be a problem.

The 92 Nissan.
Only because I am a fan of Nissans and not Camaro's.

A 1992 Nissan 300 that doesn't run is better than a 1992 Camaro that does.
(however, this does NOT mean it won't chew-up and spit-out the Nissan on the street; just talking quality)

As far as quality, Nissans are better than Chevrolets. With a turbocharger, your car will probably be faster than your friend's Camaro.

I, myself, would take the Chevy. But it really all depends on the mileage of the vehicles and the shape the body, motor, transmissions are.
Does your friends Camaro have a manual trans? Because if it's an automatic, he ain't got nothing!
