It made for exciting TV. So many people are talking trash about the whole situation and saying that Zidane left on a bad note. He did what he needed to do. In a later interview he said that no, he did not regret it.

No, because he could have released his anger in some other, more sensible form. He could have been more convinced that he HAD to win the World Cup, putting more effort, or he could have talked to Materazzi off the field. Yes, it was Materazzi's fault that he insulted Zidane, but it was also Zidane's responsibility to control his own actions.

Yes, he was. Matterazzi was wrong for what he said. It's not like Zidane explodes like that often so what Matterazzi said definately shouldn't have been said.
Anyway, Zidane was always an amazing player and he will always be remembered for his skill, not for one bad incident.

How many times must this question or a similar one be asked? Zidane was just angry, anyone would have reacted to being insulted.

If I was called a terrorist I would show him terrorist. Honestly he had the right to but he should not of. He is a hero to many children not a good last impression for them. Children headbutting others in school has increased 27% since the world cup
