Well I just downloaded the Gimp and I am not sure how to do all the cool things and my "Help" tool bar is broken. Is there a website that would have some info on how to use it? kind of like a step by step?

There is an almost 500 page help PDF file on how to use gimp. Did you download this ? If not go back to the gimp site and download these help files.

Good luck, I know what you mean when you first look, its quite daunting.

has a download though it's a bit old. Search for Gimp manual pdf on your favorite searcher.
