IF they are black that means they are african american but they have a few white ancestors so they're not completely african american.

Colored is what racists call certain types of people it also means that they dont have pale or white skin they are tan, brown, black, yellow , red, etc .

African american is used if they are from africa and moved to america example:Nigeria and they used to live in a barbaric way and have a differant language than black people and white which is English and they dont believe in Jesus christ or god they have their own religion.

Not all "Africans" are American... nor are all of them black.

Colored... does this mean any non-"white"? What about "whites" that are very tanned? How do you define color?

Black... well, I've only encountered a couple truly "black" people. Most ethnic people I know are actually brown.

How about this: only worry about a definition when filling out forms/applications. In all other cases, maybe that individual should just be considered a person.

Black or colored, as not all black people are African . Black people also come from many diffrent countries, such as Jamaica, Haiti, or England for example. Colored can be offensive when used in the wrong context though.

Edit: upon further consideration: Colored isn't the right thing to say, ever.

Politically Correct would have to be African-American for the choices you give. But, never say "colored." That's rude. VERY rude.
