The band that I'm into most right now is 'Controlling the Famous' - a young rock band from LA. Their new release Automatic City is worth having or get songs 'Two Sides' and 'Detox' for an excellent tidbit. My favorite band for chilling out that I saw last summer in what was easily the best live act I saw in 2005 is Secret Machines. Often compared to Pink Floyd, these 2 brothers plus a drummer rock much more. Another really good and perhaps not known by you artist is Mike Doughty. I met Mike after his last show in Carrboro, NC - he is the real deal - I enjoy listening to him for hours. After hearing the incredible song 'What do I know' on a recent CMJ disc, I got Peter Walkers new release and I'm still checking it out. CMJ is an excellent way to get exposed to many new or lesser know artists - each month you receive a sampler disc and mag for about $5. Many of these bands are touring in small venues so just a great way to explore on your own. From the archives, a must have which is considered by many including me to be one of rocks finest albums is David Bowie's masterpiece - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Good luck in your quest. The search for enjoyable music is a fun one and getting others input on stuff they like is a great way to check out tunes that you might otherwise not be inclined to download.

good what you do is move directly to youtube first, then style within the tune you wish and wrte down load hyperlink afterwards and with a bit of luck you are going to uncover your tune. thats a technique and limewire is an additional, nevertheless this may also be dangerous as viruses/ trojans can come at the side of it. desire it helped :D

you definitely have to try the rocket summer...they have some awesome stuff...thats my new band right now...umm something corporate jack's mannequin ....oh yeah the early november's new cd is absolutely rad! its tells a story so u wont get bored at all...but u would have to d/l the whole thing...umm oh and liar by taking back sunday is pretty awesome too :)
