The packet that I received said you cannot bring alcohol on board the ship, but friends have told me you can put it in your suitcase. Do you have to disguise it? Do they throw it out if they find it?
Thanks!

Got any ideas on what "looks like Kahlua"? I know that vodka looks alot like bottled water and scotch looks like apple juice...however I drink white russians and trying to think of something that looks like Kahlua.
Thanks!

All of the cruise lines say don't bring liquor, but I always take a pint bottle of Cognac in my suitcase. I pack it with my toiletries and so if they xray it it looks like a toiletry. I have done this at least a half dozen times with no problems. I keep the bottle hidden while its in my cabin. So if you want something for your room, just pack a couple pints in a couple bags and keep it out off sight.

If you buy liquor in a port the security folks will be looking for it when you come back on ship. WE have bought the mini bottles (one drink type) and brought a couple of them back on. The last couple cruises we did they xrayed everything coming back on in ports so that is harder to do now.

my parents go on cruises all the time, just got back from one. Alcohol cannot be brought onto the ships (b/c its served on the ships themselves.). However, many of my family members just snuck bottles onto the ship by sticking it in their pants. They said that they check the passnengers upon re-boarding, but they don't frisk anyone searching for bottles...

You can smuggle it onboard but is it worth the embarrassment if you are caught? They don't want you bringing your own because liquor is one of the things that isn't covered by the cost of the cruise and they make a lot of money on it.

what looks like kahlua? Yoo Hoo/Chocolate Milk, more or less anyways... My parents smuggled a 12 pack of drinks on there & nobody got upset about us, just do it. Even if you get caught, make it a big joke & nobody'll care.

We put it in our carryon and even though they use those xray screeners to screen your carryons, bags, purses etc., and they had to have seen the three large bottles of Vodka nobody ever said anything.
