Let me guess, David, since you're low on funds, you went and got a Pirate Edition and that's giving you more trouble. It's bound to do that.because [a] MS is, itself shafting all old versions, so that people will opt for the new; by simply stopping all support to them and [b] are actively combating Pirate Editions by building new combinations of viral bombs to make Piracy a costly thing.

The best thing for you to do is to go legal.

Since you say you're low on funds, may I suggest that you [a] download the absolutely free-of-cost OS [Operating System] and Office and other utility Softwares available in the Market [on the Net]; [b] format you disc again and [c] install these totally legal free-of-cost softwares.

Please do not use MS XP Pro and MS Office Pirate Editions. For that matter, don't use any Pirate Software at all.

Why do you need to do something illegal when you can get legal alternatives?

Download "Ubuntu Linux" OS, free download, legal, that suits your System configuration from the link given below and install it, after you've formatted the disc and removed all the Pirate Software. Remember to take a print out of the installation Tutorial which you'll find given below the download link; because you'll need it when you're installing Ubuntu and you do not have access to the Net, then.

This comes with OpenOfifice, which is an MS Office alternative, that's free and legal.

Then you can connect to the Net and download and install the Free Serif Softwares from the link provided below.

All the best.

Cheers.
