Lol...had to laugh here, not because your question is weird, just that it is probably so common and it reminds me of some humorous advice received when I was a teenager ("if you can't find the hole...."). If your talking about the initial hunt and peck phase, this is very common. Sometimes its hard to find the opening if she isn't properly stimulated. If there isn't any lubricant around, it can be hard to slide right in.
If your quick to initiate intercourse, then try some foreplay to get her revved up and once the faucet is flowing, then try. Your wang is not at all like a finger. Your finger can detect tiny differences in texture an feel....your penis is like blunt nosed needle.
Its ok to reach down and guide in, or have her do it. Many couples just do this naturally...its OK and it works! From behind, try rubbing the tip back and forth until the head just naturally pops in (again if there is lubrication!). just go slowly down from her belly button and you will end up in the right place. Take you time and remember to stimulate her s o she gets good and wet. that will help too.
