still need help with gifs?

Question

alright... seems nothing is working for me... i've saved animated gifs onto my computer and yes i know they are animated because i made them myself in the past... but not on this computer.. windows viewer and internet explorer could not play it... so do you think some option is turned off in my computer options or what..?

go to Folder Options, choose File Types, search for file extension GIF, reassociate GIF with the program you wish to use to open this file by clicking button Change...
for example, choose Internet Explorer

Now it should work with Internet Explorer each time you double click on GIF file. Sometimes, Internet Explorer may not open/ view GIF because someone had disabled view animation from the Internet Explorer's Internet Options. All you need to do is to enable viewing of animation while you are there.

There is a quicker way to allow you to change to the program you wish to associate with files. While holding SHIFT key, right click on the GIF file, you will see the option Open With...
Choose this command and reassociate GIF with the program you wish to use to open this file by clicking command Choose Program...

in IE browser---go to tools menu---internet options--advanced and ensure that play animation in web page is turned on in multimedia section.
if that doenst help,then ensure that you are not getting a yellow bar below the address bar which displays that something is blocked from running.
click on that and allowed it to run.

i think the picture is not good
and anyway, for an animated gif to play, there is no options for that, it's automatic
