Hezbollah came into Israel and KIDNAPPED Israelis so that they could barter for releasing the jailed Hezbollah members.

Israel attacked Hezbollah military targets in response to terrorist kidnappings. Hezbollah responded by shooting missiles into crowded civilian area's. Causing what we now have.

Hezbollah has its southern command headquarters in the center of a populated neighborhood so it can protect itself from these kinds of attacks. It was wrong.

Also, have you noticed that the kids that are being shown on TV speak very good English? I wonder if they are setup's?

Israel has the right to protect itself, but that right has it's limits. Occupying Lebanon and Gaza Strip, dropping bombs in cities is over the limits. In fact, Israel is no longer defending but attacking.

Israel should have appealed this issue to the UN instead of solving this on their own. With a UN peacekeeping force protecting Israel and Lebanon, Israel would be praised by the world community instead of condemned.

They absolutely do! I was reading today that the Hezbollah were rather quite taken back by the heavy response from Israel. (there words not mine) They thought they could kidnap a couple of soldiers and use them for bartering for some of their prisoners with Germany being the negotiator just like always. They were surprised that Israel got so pissed. Bad Israel.....not playing the game anymore. LOL.......funniest thing I've read in a long time. amazing.

I think all nations have the right to protect themselves, you just have to make sure that whatever actions you may take to protect yourself actually do work to protect yourself instead of just hurt a whole lot of people and waste a bunch of money.

What it is doing is not self defence. It's retaliation. The difference is that self defence is an act of deflecting an attack, whereas retaliation is an act of revenge, with a motivation of fear of what might happen next, just like preemptive strikes. True self defence I might support. This I do not.

Absolutely. Yes. They are a little country and if they back down, it will be a sign of weakness. Not only that, they are probably taking the bombs now that were originally intended for other countries.
