Well being an African-American teen I will try to answer this to the best of my abilities...
I believe that African-American teens wear mostly hip-hop clothing... as in just look at the videos and it will show you....
MAYBE... u dont have cable...
They guys usually wear fitted hats air force ones and some jeans *slightly to full out baggy* either polos or tee shirts *now they are wearing plaid but that is only a fad* ALSO u can catch most of them with a clean pair of air force ones
THE GIRLS... wear whatever is in style... whatever comes out in the stores really... when i was in middle school it was just whatever...

Well its different taste!
If ur into the athletic look u should rock the jordons and the jerseys and jeans.
If ur more a preppy african american teen than go more for the double polos with the nice jeans and the nice clean adidas or kswiss. So it really depends on who you are.
& Oh yeah I cant forget the shades are hot & instyle! Its all about the shades and plaids. So pick nice shades and plaid shorts and you will blend in very well..

Yo....DO U NOT HAVE ANY SENSE OF INDEPENDENCY!!! Its really an embarrasment to yourself that you have to come here and say that honestly. Its whatever you like, but mostly its a fend away from rock styles and more of things athletic and urban and classy as well, anything thats not ambercrombie, punk, anything like that. Mostly anything thats not punk or gothic, u cann rock anything and people wont care, mostly urban and dressy, middle school is where you mostly lay down your style and get adapted to diffrent ones. This is where pants sagging started for me. Is cool to sag your pants and all but its just dirty to sag where your underwears are showing that can ruin your whole image but this also matters where you are and how you want to represent yourself. My style is more urban and simple. I rock almost about everything that looks nice and thats urban, what i mean by urban i mean as pink t-shirts and collard and striped shirts. What i mean by urban i mean loose fitting shirts, and pants, more like in styles of ecko, sean john (ALWAYS good when your either looking for urban or wanting to look nice and fresh), southpole is real good urban as well, polo will provide some nice classy shirts too. Its all about style and doing you, you might be too young and havent developed your style yet. It also depends on FRIENDS...and i have to say one black to another looking out for u and all. Don't get into the gangs, the ghettoish crap and into drugs like weed. Staying out of this will make your image look fresh and keep u outta alotta trouble mann believe me, im 15 and have stayed outta all of these things. You can have good black friends that dont do these things it just depends on how far your willing to go to get there, its WAY better to have one or two friends and find happiness, rather to find happiness in something crazy as hell and popularity to mess up your life....dont become another black stereotypical figure..most black people make a badd view for the good ones and its sad as hell in class sittin with em. alot kids at my school wear ecko, rocawear, sean jean, phat farm...and alot of athletic stuff...like things from champs or foot locker...hope this helps : )
