... usually end up pregnant within the year? I have known several dozens who are in a constant state of "worry," even when they have no symptoms and the test results are negative. I guess my question is... If they are always so worried about getting pregnant and experience so many "pregnancy scares," wouldn't they try a little harder to NOT get pregnant? I know that some pregnancies produce no immediate symptoms and that the tests aren't 100% accurate, but I'm talking specifically about the girls that think they are pregnant every time they have sex.

That should have been "ever," not "every." I was just that darn upset about it...

I agree with you. I think its for attention. I know someone who was in a lesbian relationship who would tell her partner she was pregnant every time they got into a fight. Then she would have her period. She even took a pregnancy test (came out negative) when I found out I was pregnant.

And about them skipping Sex Ed...some schools don't even teach it because the Bush administration wants to promote abstinence only...even after it has been proved useless and ridiculous to expect teens to be abstinent.

I know I am a little like one of these girls you hate.....

I'm 21, and 2 months late. Not uncommon for me though, cause I'm irregular. The problem is that I am sexually active with my fiance, I do use protection though, but that does not always work. So while I took a preg. test and it was negative, I'm still a little anxious about what it is.

so while I may have a pregnancy scare every now and again, it's not enough to not have sex, just because I'm irregular....

What seems so silly to me is the number of girls on here that are so ignorant about their own reproductive system. If it were me, and I knew I was going to be having sex, I would inform myself of the fertile times of the months at least. These people ask the dumbest questions.....its no wonder to me why so many teens end up pregnant. I guess they skipped sex ed class....and biology too for that matter.

They are just more easily able to get pregnant. I used to feel that way too, but I was a nympho in my late teens and 20's. I got married to my high school sweetheart and I wasn't pregnant until out of college and we were already in our careers. And, weird, I had a period 3 times before I found out I was already 2 months pregnant. what tipped me off is that I had a full period 2 times in one month and got sick, sick, sick. The doctor said I was already 3 months pregnant. And sure enough I delivered 1 day after he said I was due.

well i am in my early 20's and i know a few other girls that this has happened to. I think they do it for the attention.. i never did that "scare" thing..and when i was pregnant i didnt tell anyone for 2 months...just to make sure i didnt miscarry and look like one of those girls...who always think they're pregnant...with the fake cravings and fake morning sickness...its ridiculous.
