It shows that the USA has moved beyond racism as far as conservatives are concerned... not so with the liberals, they play the race card at every time an opportunity is presented.
Who cares if someone is black, brown, white, red, or yellow... or a mixture; as long as they do a good job and obey the Law of the Land.
The worst thing would be the reaction by the racist European left. You can see it in their faces.... must be why the EU isn't very together, they all have their own ethnicities prevailing.
With Germany emerging as the leader of the EU, there may be cause for concern.

First of all, I'm not a racist, I'm a separatist. I don't trust anyone! Second, Bush is a good man. Hillbillie? Hahahaha...you've GOT to be a yankee! Mrs. Rice is a wonderful Secretary of State. The lady's got backbone for sure! Go get a life, man.

I voted for Bush, but...I am neither a racist, nor a hillbilly. But I like how you rag on people for being insulting...while insulting them. How very hypocritical of you.
Bush has the most diverse cabinet in history...how is that racist? He obviously picks the best people for the job. Rice is whip-smart...if you knew anything about politics, you'd know that.

The best thing about it is it reveals conservatives as being fair minded people who accept minorities while liberals make jokes about the only black people allowed in the room are those serving coffee (Howard Dean).
Seriously. Do you know how stupid you look as the republicans have an administration with highly educated minorities in a large number of positions with real power....but you call them racist? Meanwhile, the liberals are doing everything and anything to keep minorities down....including making racial slurs against republican candidates of color and attending birthday parties of former KKK leaders (Hillary Clinton).
Do you even know that the writings of Marx, which you liberals are so in love with, are flagrantly racist against jews, mexicans and blacks....to the point of advocating genocide against them? This is where Hitler got the idea from. It's called national SOCIALISM for a reason. Nazism (and other forms of fascism) are based on marxism.....just like liberalism is. Liberals are simply being congruent as they continue with their racist behaviors.
Liberals are racist. Conservative republicans most definitely are not.

*ahem* acually, I am part Native American, and I live in the suburbs, and my father is a honest blue-collar worker, and we couldn't care less if the Secretary of State was red, white, black, or green with yellow polka dots so long as he (or SHE) did a good job in his (or HER) position.
Oh, and we're for Bush. At least he's a better alternative than Kerry and Gore.

That it shows racism/ignorance abounds on the left.
I will use that answer for both.
It is simultaneously the best thing for the Republican party since people like you are being louder in your lunacy and the worst thing for America since I had hoped that we were getting beyond all this racist crap.
