It is a construction web site with xml integrated office documents, password protected areas for client updates, flash presentations, an intranet for employees and an online password protected timecard input page. This is a onetime setup. I will not be doing the updating as I have built an area of the website that uses forms to update most of the content. I don;t have any references nor am I well known for web site creation, but this site is well within my capabilities.

The site will have between 100-250 pages but only 11 template pages with #includes and xml to fill the content.

How much actual time did you put into it? I would try to recoup at least $25 an hour.

Definately pass with an hourly fee, yet you may no longer get any shoppers except you substances them a ballpark total. you're new to the organization, so per chance commence with a flat value (outline what they receives for that - like homepage with 3 linked pages) for say $500. Then charge an hourly fee for alterations or better progression. diverse internet features (animation, sound, different internet hyperlinks) are ordinary or extra troublesome to do, so be careful. An hourly fee must be about $30/hour. you should call some places who do internet web site layout and ask them for his or her prices (for evaluation). HTML is hard before each and every thing ~ even once you've an internet fashion designer application to help with the language. that is like programming.

You can probably get a couple hundred dollars for that. If you google around for site building, you can find the going rate for this kind of thing. I might not fully understand what your doing though.. Are you making 250 pages? or 11 pages?

If it was me: I'd start at $250, negotiate down to $200 if i had to

$300. Doesn't seem like too much work. The other people don't seem to know anything about web development just yelling "FREE!"

Geez, if you did all this from scratch, it should be upwards of $10,000 I would think. Take my estimate with a grain of salt, though. I've never done that big of a project before.
