Your "life" is a manifestation of perception. cruel and unusual? Sounds like you're not having a good run of it. Everybody suffers because they want something different from that which is. Do fate and destiny really exist? Ask yourself if it is yourself choosing or if it is the heavens choosing your actions. If it's something else then just lay back and enjoy the ride because that would mean you're in no way responsible for what happens.

Islamic teaching makes a different meaning between fate or destiny(nasib). and predestination or God's decree (takdir).Fate or destiny can be changed by the individual hard efforts
.Predestination or God's decree can not be changed by the individual hard efforts.Destiny or fate is a trial or testing or warning from our God,whether we are aware enough and have a high quality of spiritual mainstay or faith(iman). If we are unlucky for instance to be ill,we should be patient and trying to get healthy by swallowing/drinking medicine or other way.But with all kind of efforts, the doctor can not cure someone's illness unti died, that is a God's decree. We can not say it is cruel and unusual, because we are all in the highest authority of God Almighty. All human beings will die but we do not know when, where and why. it will come.It is usual and logic that our living here is not eternal..God will call back us to His arms in a right time.nothing can delay it and avoid it.We should receive it as a reality.

Sometimes I think it is. Speaking from personal experience, my sister finally found Mr.RIght and got married. They are yound and have their whole life ahead of them. They have spent the first yr trying to get pregant. Didnt work and now they just found out he has MS. Hmm, cruel destiny/fate? I think so. Plus on the night of their wedding reception, they were run off the road and rolled their new vehicle twice before coming to a stop.

Fate/destiny does not exist, everything happens through God. Read from the Bible the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 1 and you'll probably have an insight about this.

no, if it were cruel and unusual then tell me. how come so many people live in the land of the free known as america. and for those who fate has struck them a blow, they get help from others. i beieve that when we are born we choose a rough fate for ourselves to help use to grow. some choose more extreme paths. but those who live where fate has struck a blow, often grow to be the most holy of all people

It depends on what you make of it. It can be cruel and unusual if that is how you wish to accept it or it can be a time to learn and grow.

Cruel, but not unusual. And only punishment according to what we make it, since we are God. Yes, God exists. WE are God.
