I like Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi trilogy (El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon A Time In Mexico).
And as for director's, my favorite is either Rodriguez or Guillermo Del Toro (Blade 2, Hellboy, The Devil's Backbone).

Movie? Hmmm...Amorres Perros and El Mariachi. And my favorite directors are Robert Rodriguez, Alfonso Cuarón, and Alejandro González Iñárritu.
Other notable Hispanic directors: Pedro Almodovar and Walter Salles.

My favorite Mexican movie is "Por la libre" in English From dust to dust. i´m a Mexican and I think this is a good movie I really recommend it.

Like Water for Chocolate is my favourite Hispanic movie and Robert Rodriquez is my favourite Hispanic director (and I like that he does his own composing).
