Sounds like your power supply crapped out on you. I would get it checked.

The only reason your computer would shut down and not turn back on is if your power supply stopped working. Thank you for being specific and telling us that you tried letting it cool off, because I was about to suggest that your CPU was overheating but it seems that's not the case.

Since you let it cool off it's not overheating.

Also using too much memory will not cause your computer to shut off so don't be fooled by people who don't know what they're talking about. Just thought I'd give that warning as I'm reading some of the other answers.

Sounds like half of them didn't pay attention that you said you let it cool down.

Have you tried unplugging it and pulling the battery out? Just let it sit a couple minutes unpowered.. even press the power button to make sure u get any residual power out. If that doesn't work you might have blown a critical part that needs to be replaced.

(2nd part) Does nothing happen when you press the power button? Like no fans or screen light up or anything?

Well try letting its battery charge for an hour or 2. If that dosent work try pressing the turn on button for longer.

Try plugging it into a different outlet... maybe that one was broken? XD Or check your cords and make sure they are plugged in tightly.

Was is a game you purchased?
Hopefully its not a virus.

Wow.....I think you might have used up to much memory! Either that or your plug doesn't work! Try plugging in it somewhere else! That happened to me before (the plug just stoped working)

Blow out all of the vents and fans with a can of compressed air. It's overheating.
