He probably just deleted the shortcut, look in program files for the actual program and create a new shortcut and copy it to your desktop!
You can always download internet explorer from microsoft.com directly anyhow.

Here is the best way i can answer this for you i will get you started then you just follow the computers directions after that. Go to all programs look for Accessories then once in accessories you should see System Tools. Once in there look for system Restore. Click on it and it will walk you threw the process. Pick an earlier date like the day before he made the goof to restore to. Follow the instructions properly and when finished reboot your computer. It should bring your computer back to the date you entered it to go to.With your Internet Explorer.

Hon, he probably deleted the shortcut. Nevertheless, follow these steps:
1. Click START menu
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Add/Remove software
4. Click Add/Remove Windows Components
5. Choose IE and click next
*This works if you have Windows XP.

Trying finding the IE website.. just do a Google search on it. Chances are you can download the latest version just like you would with Firefox.

If you are using WinXP you can do a system restore. It will restore your computer back to the way it was before he did this.Click on the 'start' menu and then 'accessories' and 'tools' and then 'system restore'.It will let you turn back the clock so to speak to a time before this happened. I have had to use this feature a couple of times and I,m sure glad it is there.Good luck.

Did he just delete it from the desktop? If so, go onto your desktop and right click and then click preferences. Go to the Desktop tab and click customize desktop. In the General tab the first section says "Desktop icons"... make sure Internet explorer is checked. If he completely deleted it go to Microsofts webpage and download it.

It's probably still on your computer somewhere, but you can download the latest version of IE from Microsoft.com.
Either IE 7 beta: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4c1a8fbe-fb6a-47ac-867d-bb1f17e477ee&DisplayLang=en
or IE 6 sp1:
