Well often times its a perception that the quantity of pleasurable sensation is what we need to reach orgasm. Its the mentality of "If this feels good, more of it will get me there". Very logical and it works.
However, quality of pleasure is also a way to reach orgasm. This is one reason why tantric sex works...many tantric positions require no movement for extended periods. What your working on is the quality of pleasure, not the quantity here. Going slower CAN be just a good or better than going fast.
Its kind of like driving your car. The faster you go, the faster you reach your destination, but you don't get to enjoy the scenary along the way. The same is true for each stroke....
I think each technique has its moments. There are times when hot, fast, hungry sex is what you need so fast, hard and deep is satisfying. Other times, love-making is what's needed...slow, tender and patient. I think if you can convince your man to try this, he might be suprised at how good/different it feels.
Sometimes guys just go fast because they don't know any better. Educate him! Assume a position where your in control of the movement. Cowgirl is OK for this, but can be awkward and tiring. Try doggy, but ask him to let you do the work and rock on and off while he enjoys....you can go at your pace and make it seem like a treat for him that he just gets to relax and watch and enjoy your moves.

We can get our freak on in a matter of moments, it sometimes takes you ladies all freakin night, and it's not always us, I mean, we may be hung like a stallion and still, you women take forever.
