You know - don't let people be hard on you. If this is a first computer and you want to learn - type some letters, get on the internet, it will be fine for a first time - especially if $$ is tight. Just know that the technology is older and you may not be able to do the 'cooler' things but it is still a functional, viable machine. My son, an engineer, still uses my PII running windows 98 and it suits him just fine but he gets a little frustrated when using the internet - so it depends on what you want to do with it.

Well they are all good. Depends on what you use them for. Just do a google on it to read the specs. PII is way outdated though.

NO! That computer runs slower than 500MHZ!!!! It's so out of date, you probably couldn't sell it for $25

An up-to-date hard drive should be running somewhere between 2000 and 4000 MHZ

That laptop has a hard drive with a capacity less than 12GB. An up-to-date computer should have a hard drive capacity of 80 to 750GB

No it is a BOAT ANCHOR.

If you must go with the C series from Dell, get a C840 or a C400.
