I think the movie makers should have followed the book more closely. A large part of the movie was taken up by the entrance of the two schools (when the Hungarian boys did cartwheels and the French girls pranced about) and the whole ball scene. They did a crappy job on the maze too. It didn't do anything except shift around, and that wasn't really that scary for a final task.

Yeah, it could have been a lot better. The movie was way better after the disaster of Prisoner of Azkaban but only so much. I lost my respect for the people of these movies doing the books right after this. They ripped, like, a lot of stuff that was in the book, ripped it out, and stripped it down to a bare skeleton of what was there. I understand it was a 2 hour something movie but they ripped a good chunk of good stuff in the movie. And, Voldemort, didn't like him. Ralph Fiennes doesn't portray Voldemort the way Voldemort should be portrayed. The look was fine, no complaints on the look, it was the voice that got on my nerves. Ralph Fiennes made Voldemort out to be just as this overgrown arrogant school bully. And the pint where Harry is dragging back Cedric's body to the crowd and acting emotionally? That scene was laughable. My faith has been destroyed on the movies, I don't care anymore. I don't think I want to look at Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix next year. What's the point?

I loves it as well. But yes, it could have been better, I mean they completely left out the Rita Skeeter being an Animagus and several other parts of the book. However with 5 and 6 and possibly 7 I don't think they can leave very much out without leaving out key information. As they are very detailed books and if you leave something out it's gonna be confusing. Like how are they gonna explain Harry going to court in 5 when they didn't explain how he got into trouble for doing magic at the Dursley's in one of the other books? Sorry my answer is so long winded I'm just a huge Harry Potter fan.

I have to say I'm a Harry Potter freak...I loved the movie I just wish they would have stayed a little more true to the book. I can't wait for the next movie to come out so I can drag my nephew with me to see it so I don't look like an idiot being there at my age...lol

I wish the movies could be a miniseries so you wouldn't have to edit, but overall, I have enjoyed all of the series and am very happy with them. Chamber of Secrets though, is my favourite.
