Reports indicate that schools with large ethnic minorities get less supplies and smaller budgets, and that children from ethnic minorities are more likely to have difficulties in school and drop out.

We as the tax-payer have not. However, the elected officials have failed miserably.

I feel that the opposite is true. The lower your school's test scores, the more money you get from the federal govt. Test scores in school districts with a low income, minority population, are traditionally lower than those in higher income areas. Sorry, but it's a fact. Because of this, the lower income schools receive tons of federal funds to improve their test scores. I teach in an at-risk school district and we have state of the art equipment and supplies. We are also given funds to hire additional personnel to work with students. My friends who teach in higher income communities are often jealous at the cool things my school has for the kids. In their communities, the parents either donate or do tons of fundraising for their schools.

well that really depend the city location or the home value of that city the true reality if u city home propery worth less u might also get less quality of school. Minoritsti usually stay less pricey area which just what school also receive less fun, school fund come from 2 way one from federal but mostly from state and local which their income come from tax, real esttae tax, sale tax etc..

If we eliminate the affirmative action more minorities would be working,lets cut out the special favours and may the best person win.
