I am having problems with my period. I started two months ago and it was really light. It would stop off and on. In between I would have heavy days with big clots. Then I would lightly spot for the rest of the time. Two weeks ago, I had 8 days of very heavy bleeding with large clots, stopped for four days and started again. I went to the ER last week and they said it was either hormones or a cyst popped. I have PCOS. They also said I had some infection of the urinary tract. They gave me antibiotics and progestin. I have been bleeding off and on all week. One day heavy, one day light, one day none. I have to wait two weeks for a gynecologist appt. I am very worried. What could it be? HELP

If you are already under a doctor's care you shouldn't worry. They'll find out what the problem is and will take good care of you.

You need to talk to the doc again. If this doc doent seems to want to help go to a different doc. What ever is wrong is not normal and the doc is not helping. Dont worry so much though. I sounds like something that can be helped.

Abcessed ovarian cysts, uterine infection, or possibly cancer, though I think the possibility of that is slight.
