true love dont pay the rent, buy the groceries, get the ipod, big screen, new car, repair old car, pay for insurance, medical bills, dinners out........

I think you just need to have the same basic ideals about money, or know how to get by it. My EX taught me to handle a budget and pay bills. I now own a home as a single woman, and am very glad we had our "differences" in finances. It also, unfortunately, probably caused our ultimate divorce, as work and money were always more important than family.

One thing he did say that stuck with me for always is this,"Some people are willing to just plod along, and get by, and others always strive to get "a little" something better." I am not the money monger that he was, but do want to have some kind of goal to work at. This would mean a lot if my "person" didn't see anything down the road.

A life plan is not a bad thing- in money- or in other areas..you both need to look at the future, and see - somewhat - the same "life plan".

It will be when all the time u are thinking about the 25 k you have debt on credit cards and paying it all thru ur married life and still nowhere near to be repaid.
Hey everybody likes to say money is no object in a relationship. Yes it will not be an object when u have no loans and no debts. otherwise it will be hot topic.

In a serious relationship the topic of money is going to be important. If you want to live together or get married you need to know if you are going to make it financially.

It depends on your preference and what your standard of living is.Depending how much money you have is going to determine if you are going to be eating out at burger king or a classy restaurant with fine wine.
