It is an update for a very popular computer game (Civilization IV). It is now on my desktop? Is there anything I have to do to "Unzip" it?

If it has an .exe extension then it will automatically unzip and install itself when you doubleclick on it. But be sure you have a legitimate file that is a genuine update for the game from the game's maker since .exe files can contain viruses.

You need a program like WinZip to unzip it. Try right clicking on the file, and see if it will let you unzip from there. If not, you probably have to get WinZip, which you can download here:

Unzipping is also called "extracting files." You can use WinZip to extract the files to any location you want, then run the installer that came in the file to update your game.

P.S. If you don't want to pay for it, click the "try it" button to get a free trial.
