hello, i am an American Muslim, and i am a very devot muslim. I was born and raised in Indiana. I play sports, I don't have an accent, I don't speak any other language than English, and i have more non-muslim(christian) friends than muslim friends.
I am blown away by your question. First off, let me say that all these PEOPLE THAT CALL THEMSELVES MULSIMS on TV, who blow things up, are HYPOCRITES and LIARS and are being decieved by the devil, much like our administration and others across the world that start wars for no purpose.
In the Quran, killing is not allowed, because life is precious, except for the heir of someone who had been killed is allowed to avenge the death BUT not exceed those limits, because God does not love those that transgress. The Quran teaches tolerance, and these so called muslims on TV you see definetly dont practice that, they are blinded and motivated by there own self pride and ego fueled by the devil, sometimes i feel the same way about the a lot of other nations.
The Quran teaches us that the worst people are the hypocrites, and from what i have listed, when these people that blow things up and kill people call themselves MUSLIMS, and other people refer to them as such i honestly get offended because they are NOT MUSLIMS, and therefore liars and HYPOCRITES of their own religion making THEM the WORST PEOPLE.
One major point that i must point out is that the vast majority of muslims in the world, a little over a billion if you were wondering, do NOT carry this mindset AT ALL, and a VAST MAJORITY do not support and HATE these HYPOCRITES who have hijacked the name of their religion. Especially in America, we as muslims recognize this misconception and problems that we face everyday when these HYPOCRITES procure in the mind of people that THAT is what Islam is and this is sad, because Christians and Jews will be suprised at the amazing simularites of the 3 major world religions, and how they are THE SAME religion. I know that may be a shocking statement to a lot of people, but I urge curious Christains, to pick up an English translation of the Quran and read for YOURSELVES and discover the simularities between us and all, and hopefully THAT will help us ALL shed our own ignorance for one another and learn to help our brothers all other the world, whether they are Christian brothers or Muslim brothers or Black brothers or White brothers or Tall brothers or Short brothers.
