Get a grip. You got the question backwards. Many of us could care less about the British. Half of us don't even know where it's located. Not a superpower and never was. Only 60 million people, we have 300 million and growing. You play cricket and soccer. We play baseball and football.

Is that what we do? I do envy some things about the British: Their hot accents, dry wit, dapper sense of fashion, etc. I did not think it was the commonwealth I envied though.

Being bailed out of WWI by the American Doughboys?
Being bailed out of WWII by the American GIs?
Being bailed out of the Falkland Islands by the USMC?
