More math i cant seem to get tongiht!
12/9 divided by 4
1/3 yard red and 1/2 yard blue how much is need for project?

The entire question is as follows
A list of materials is needed is 1/3 (fraction) yard od red fabric and 1/2 yard (fraction) of blue fabric. What is the total yards of fabric needed.

the 12/9 is also a fraction divided by 4

oh sorry to all the smart asses out there, and by the way i just passed writing and english last week with a 99.70%, just for your info i type fast and sometimes miss a few letters, so blow it to those of you who have to be rude!

Multiply everything by 6

or 1/3 I should say. 12/9= 4/3.......4/3* 4 = 1/3 ............But the 2nd question = .833 or(5/6)......That's assuming that you just need the length and not the area, that would be something totally different. 1/2= 3/6 and 1/3 = 2/6 so 3/6+ 2/6 = 5/6 or slightly more than .833 yards

but for the second question u need to enroll a language class so tht u can express urself properly

Restate your problem in an understandable form. We don't know the details. What is "12/9 divided by 4" tell me? Nothing!!! What project? Start over and spell it out.
