It's good that you decided to ask for advice before acting on your frustration & emotion. I am an animal lover & despise seeing people mistreat animals. So I understand your anger towards this person. But you can not do the same to his dog, or his kids. That is stooping to his level. You need to report it to the police and the local humane society. There are laws that protect animals from abuse just like there are laws for humans. So show him you are more mature & don't resort to kicking defensless animals. If he is found to be abusive to animals he may just well lose his own dog because it.
Good Luck & God Bless.

If your dog did something bad, like bite or chew something of your neighbor's, then try to keep your dog as far away from them as possible.

If your neighbor came over for the heck of it and thought it would be cool to kick your dog, then I would go over and tell him to stop. If he did it again, I would call the cops.

Do not, under any circumstances kick his kids, you would get much bigger trouble.

You should go kick him ask him how it feels and when he says it hurt tell him that is how your dog felt and if he does not want kicked again then he won't kick your dog any more

Report your neighbor to the police because what he did is considered animal cruelty.

Never, NEVER try to kick your neighbor's dog back or his kids because it's wrong (morally speaking) and illegal and you could be facing serious jail time for doing that (and what do his kids have to do with him kicking your dog anyway)?

Kicking his dog would be wrong - that animal doesn't deserve that. Kicking his kids would get you put in jail.
Talk to him and if it happens again call the SPCA - they probably have more power than the cops these days.

Depends on "Why" he kicked your dog! If your dog was biting him, then he has a right to kick it...However if he just walked over to your dog and kicked him, then I would call the cops... If you do anything physical to him or his kids/dog, he could call the cops on you...

If you have to kick anything then kick the person. Their dog or kids did not do anything to you.
